Friday and saturday: 1st time yuxuan, melissa and I stood on the piste to compete for the first time. haha. ya we went for the exposure. or more like our coach asked us to go for the experience. the ranking was expected. it's a bit demoralising actually. but the whole round robin process was fun. Me and Hongye were at the same piste / round robin group and she kinda coached me for a bit. Got to see how different people fence, their styles and all that. and tried some strategies, sorta worked (some of them). and it's interesting to observe how people change phsychologically throughout the competition. guess for every sports you can always spot things like that.The guys did okay i guess. At least first timers like joel and kee ren actually made through round robin. Team event on Saturday was about the same. At the start our 2 teams fenced against each other and me and cheryl actually used up the 3 whole minutes. Yup got improvements. still looking forward to trainings.
Sigh this holiday missed AVIVA badminton open again. Last time was because of sec4 EOY, now is because of CTs. I predict next year i'm going to miss it again because of CT2 for J2s. well at least managed to catch Thomas and Uber Cup this year, live, online.
btw, pianofest is here! one week of performance by international pianist from 2 - 6 July. I want to catch either the one on friday or saturday or sunday. Interested? xD
