FREEDOM!!

MATHS TEST IS OVER!!! that is the last test for my sec4 year. lalalalalala. 3 cheers for wenyu hahax. Was freaking out yesterday while doing revision, because people were passing rumours about how hard this test was and how the last one (which i totally flunked) was supposed to be the one pulling up your marks.. so yeah. spent the whole day from 10-7 in the library doing maths questions ><

so its turned out the paper was quite manageable. most of us had about 50mins to check through. but working is still very messy though >< messy workings tell you my confidence level....

first thing we did after we regained freedom was to go for RJ open house. It's quite overwhelming, that's what open house does i think. makes you feel there are so much stuff going on in the school that you expect more than you should. yeah so there are many things that we / i can't decide. litying and me are thinking of joining french connection, but that will be like a place to slack i guess, then some of us want to join soccer cuz playing soccer during PE was fun this year (: and i'm not sure whether i should still go for IT, i'm getting tired of it especially after a quite miserable experience in rg =// then there's bridge club!! which i want to try for, i don't mind trying a sport CCA too, i think i would need that. so i ended up trying to make sense of what i really want: choosing between physics & biology, choosing between CCAs and whether I should try for council, choosing what H3 subject to take, and thinking about how am i really going to cope next year. after a while i just got more stressed. sigh.

photonics. all i can say is that options sometimes can really be a waste of time. because i'm not fully understanding the concepts. so we spent 1 hr plus today, in photonics lab, in the curtained-off area, with green goggles, trying to take measurements of how the concentration of sugar affects the change in the plane or polarisation, like the plane in which light travels. so we are trying to capture the laser light onto the test tube with sugar solution first, let light pass through the medium and then a lense, and capture the beam onto a sensor, make sure the original reading was at about 9, and then rotate the lense to measure the angle where no light can pass through. so the whole place became somewhat like a stock market:

"STOP STOP STOP, don't move anymore, reading is 9, 8, oh NO 0.03!! GO BACK GO BACK"
"OH NO, let me try, i have magical fingers, HA, 9!!"
"ok DONT MOVE NOW, let me turn the lense..... oh yes 0.02, 0.02, 0.03!!!, NOOO. ok 0.02, 0.01, 0.01, YES 0.00!!!!"

-- so this went on for like 15 minutes, and then another 3 different sets of reading on 3 different solutions ---

"oh my gosh we are so lucky, why everytime we just put the test tube there then reading goes straight to 9?"
"err, i just realised we never make sure the beam pass directly through the sugar solution T.T"
-___________- """

erm then when we tried to rotate the lense again this time, something weird happend: "hey how come everytime my hands touch the lens the reading goes to 0 huh? " -everyone stoned for 2 seconds - "oh shoot my hand just covered the beam of laser light" (no comments)

i think photonoics is so fun. yeah. that totally made me want to take up physics in JC T.T

Anyway i spend the night at carrefour! buying prizes for elderlys for tomorrow's SL session, i was grabbing all the $1 and $2 stuff which they can use, like personally grooming set, lunch box and all. hahahax. with debbie on the line instructing me how much to grab, what to grab everything. so i ended up with 3 huge plastic bags of cheap stuff for them tomorrow! $75 can get a lot of stuff you know! lol.

tomorrow i want to go to alliance francaise for a movie! dunno who can come though. if not i will just watch alone. its french film fest btw now, jap one just over i guess.

oh ya. it has been officially proven that students who don't get 8 hrs of sleep become more DUMB. NOW YOU NOE WHY OUR RESULTS ARE NOT GOOD @.@ but how can i manage to sleep at 10???? mission impossible.

-end of long nonsensical post -
