舍、得

Of choices, of giving up and of getting something in return.

I chose Law.
I chose debate.
I chose Law Club.
I chose a uni life of hard work and little play.
I chose to suffer a bit more now so I can enjoy later.

When is that 'later'?

I gave up opportunities to bond with friends
I gave up having an exciting UTown life
I gave up the courage to start a relationship or simply to have the time of having one
I gave up, the chance, to really take things slow and feel time, gently slipping through my fingers leaving behind scents of romance, youth and fulfilling memories that will colour my life instead of grayscaling it.

My life's kinda in black and white now you see.

Then I ask myself. Is it all worth it?
Am I living in the present or living for the future?
And what if that future never really comes?
